The aircraft is inspected upon delivery and any discrepancies are written up and the customer is notified. All inspection panels and control surfaces are removed from the aircraft then are stripped and painted. There are 4 hours of plastic/dent repair and corrosion repair included in this price. If Blue Sky Aviation feels that more repairs need to be done, inspection by the owner is requested at the end of 4 hours to approve additional repair.
We chemically strip the aircraft to bare aluminum. It is then alkaline washed, acid etched, and Alodined. We prime with USPaint self-etching epoxy primer, and then the aircraft is painted with three coats of Aluma-Grip by USPaint for airplanes. We will paint 2 color stripes and your N-numbers. If there are additional stripes, non-traditional, or stripe kit designs additional prices will be quoted.
Once the aircraft has been painted we install a stainless steel screw kit at no additional charge, the panels are reinstalled and the control surfaces are balanced and reinstalled. We reapply black wing walk to the aircraft for non-slip.
Plastic parts on airplanes may have ultraviolet dry rot that cannot be detected until the paint has been removed for the plastic. We will not be responsible for this dry rot. We will notify you if this has occurred with your plastic parts. If you need plastic pieces replaced, the aluminum surface under the plastic is primed to retard corrosion. We are not responsible for oil leakage around seams or rivets.
